Original Guns Made By Billy Sweger
While I study the rifles that Billy Sweger made I am cataloging and documenting as much information about each rifle. Here are the photos and descriptions for each one. As I find and study new ones they will be posted. If you have a Sweger rifle I would be very pleased to look and catalog it.

This is a Perry County Keyhole Patch box. The button on the bottom of the butt is how you open the patch box.

I have not seen this rifle in person. But it is made by Billy Sweger. Just from the photos it has the Perry County Key Hole patch box, double set triggers, an unusual trigger guard for his style and is flintlock. I would estimate this is an early rifle because not only is it flintlock but the top plane of the butt has a nice gradual curve to it. All of his later rifles have a flat more modern looking butt on them.

This rifle is a 38 caliber,15/16 x 40" barrel. Double set triggers ,a Joseph Manton percussion lock and a Perry County Patch box. It is stamped W Sweger on the top flat of the barrel. It was formely owned by Mr.Rice from Dellville. It was purchased at his auction at the time of his death. I personally use this rifle for hunting still.

Joseph Manton Warranted front action percussion lock with two turkeys engraved on it .

This rifle is 15/16 x 38 inch barrel, has a back action lock ,double set triggers and a "toilet bowl " patch box. It also has an unusual side plate along with a trigger guard. Signature is on the top flat of the barrel written W S.
